First, I want to give a shout out to Krishna, one of our crisis line volunteers. Thank you so much for taking a last minute sub request over the weekend. We really appreciate your help!
Shelter Tour Policy Update
After listening to feedback from volunteers about confusion or nervousness when giving shelter tours, we decided that it makes sense to implement a policy that shelter tours will be given by two volunteers, if available. If two volunteers are not available, then a staff person and volunteer can give the shelter tour. If you have any questions about this policy update, please don’t hesitate to let us know!
If you are out and about this weekend, Middle Way House will be tabling at the Farmer’s Market tomorrow. In addition, our friends at All Options Pregnancy Resource Center are currently holding their Diaper Drive Campaign. Moonstones is currently hosting a deal where you can get 20% off of their merchandise when you bring in 20 diapers to donate to All Options. More details about the Diaper Drive can be found here
Please remember: Only two volunteers can sign up for an in-office shift at once.
We can always use all the help we can get. We are especially in need of volunteers on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Crisis Line Online Resources!
We now have a working online folder of Crisis Line resources!! For those of you who prefer to pull things up on a computer when your helping a client, or prefer reading reminders online you can use the link below. 🙂 If you prefer hard copies, and using the binders in the office, don’t worry! This online folder is not meant to replace those resources, it’s just in addition! Let a CI staff member know if you have any questions.
This tool is a google sheet that I will include in these emails every week. Please feel free to click on the link and begin adding your requests! Let a CI staff person know if you have any questions about this!!
